Here you will find both confirmed and proposed musical compositions for the feature film ‘Harmony’. Music plays an essential role in this film, laying the entire foundation for the tone and atmosphere. The film’s soundtrack also helps to reinforce the contrasting duality between our leads Harmony and Leyla. Through music we are constantly reminded of two very different worlds, the order and hope Leyla represents and the chaos and violence Harmony can’t seem to shake.
‘Satellite’ the acoustic version by the world renowned Above & Beyond, is the song Leyla will be performing at Longboat Hall for the concert performance scene. This is where Harmony really takes an interest in Leyla and is captivated by her. Click on the image to see the original performance. We are extremely fortunate to have already negotiated the right for this composition with Involved Publishing in the UK and Warner Chappell Canada.
DRIFT PHONK
Since the movie will feature professional drift racing on a closed circuit, the sub genre of Phonk music will be used throughout the film. Phonk is a style of music derived from hip hop and trap music, directly inspired by 1990s Memphis rap. Popularized by TikTok and the drift community in social media, “drift phonk” is a subgenre of phonk which emerged in Russia in the late-2010s; its main features are the use of cowbells and high bass.
